flyin crittarz

some "flying" animals whom are not birds/insects ;)

these fish "fly" (read thrust themselves out of the water and use their massive dorsal wings to float) away to escape their prey, this one is rather special though as it's very rare that they "fly" for that long They "flying" snake, although what he really just does is use his massive muscled body to leap himself from a branch) the flying lizard is just amazing imo i love it how his little "wings" pop out of nowhere and the flying squirrel, whom actually just glides from point a to b

colourful awesomness

Deepsea awesomness!

enjoy! the mimic octopus!

a hunting humboldt squid :) (they also make their body flash red/white when in danger very neat)

and the awesomely named vampire squid from hell ;) (vampyrotheutis infernalis)

that last is from a absolutely awesome Series called Planet earth, i'm trying to get a hold of the blu ray but haven't found it yet in belgium (

Fresh new topic!

As some may know and others will know now, I am absolutely beyond fascinated bout wildlife, it being giant mammals or smallest of bugs :) and i thought bout posting fascinating bizarre animals that i find around on tv/internet for you to enjoy/discover

i'll start with some stuff i found today :)

I already knew the Dipsidae, but today i watched a show and saw something I was quite surprised bout! Apparantly when they are born the males start to push air to their heads to change the shape of their heads, can't find a clip about them doing this though

:( if i find i'll update it, but hey here are the flies anyhow! ( the one with the biggest uhm.. stalk wins and gets to mate with the females;) boys will be boys xd )

next, never saw this one before but! it's really cool, heck very inspirational creature actually ^^ makes you feel a lot closer to prehistoric times doesn't it!
